About the Role
The Ashdown Group, a leading technology solutions provider in London, England, is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join their team. This role involves providing advanced technical support and systems management within a Windows-centric environment, focusing on client infrastructure maintenance and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues, providing expert-level support and troubleshooting
- Manage cloud migrations and ensure high availability of systems using the latest technologies and best practices
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize system performance, security, and reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address infrastructure challenges
- Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve potential issues
- Provide guidance and training to junior team members on system administration and troubleshooting
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the company’s technical capabilities
Requirements
- Extensive experience in Windows server administration and client infrastructure management
- Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other core Windows services
- Strong understanding of cloud technologies, such as Microsoft Azure, and experience with cloud infrastructure management
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve complex technical problems
- Familiarity with scripting and automation tools, such as PowerShell, to streamline administrative tasks
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
