About the Role
This Azure Cloud Engineer position involves hands-on management and optimization of the organization’s Azure estate. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the infrastructure, deploying Windows Server workloads using Bicep, enforcing security and compliance standards, and leading cloud modernization projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the organization’s Azure infrastructure, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and other cloud resources
- Deploy and configure Windows Server workloads using Bicep, a domain-specific language for defining Azure infrastructure
- Implement and enforce security and compliance policies to protect the organization’s cloud environment
- Identify and lead cloud modernization initiatives, such as migrating legacy systems to Azure or adopting new cloud services
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment of cloud solutions
- Continuously monitor and optimize the Azure environment for performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability
- Provide technical guidance and support to the organization’s IT team and stakeholders
Requirements
- Extensive experience in managing and optimizing large-scale Azure cloud environments
- Proficiency in deploying and configuring Windows Server workloads using Bicep or similar infrastructure-as-code tools
- Strong understanding of Azure security and compliance best practices, including Azure Active Directory, Azure Policy, and Azure Security Center
- Experience in leading cloud modernization initiatives, such as migrating legacy systems to Azure or adopting new cloud services
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
