This role presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced security professional to lead and mentor a small Security Operations Center (SOC) team while also remaining actively involved in technical security operations.

About the Role

This role involves leading and mentoring a small SOC team, while also remaining hands-on in incident investigation and response across enterprise, cloud, and OT environments. The Cyber Security Lead will be responsible for driving improvements in detection, automation, and SOC processes within a complex technology landscape, balancing technical expertise with strategic planning and team management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a small SOC team, providing guidance and technical direction
  • Actively participate in incident investigation and response, including across enterprise, cloud, and OT environments
  • Drive improvements in detection, automation, and SOC processes to enhance the overall security posture
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address security risks and vulnerabilities
  • Develop and implement security strategies and policies to protect the organization’s assets
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, technologies, and best practices
  • Provide regular reporting and metrics to stakeholders on the team’s performance and security initiatives

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in a senior cybersecurity role, with a proven track record of leading and mentoring a security team
  • Proficient in incident investigation, response, and security operations across a variety of environments (enterprise, cloud, OT)
  • Strong technical skills in areas such as security monitoring, threat detection, and security automation
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with the ability to balance technical and strategic priorities
