About the Role
Ascent Resourcing Limited, a leading cloud and platform infrastructure provider, is seeking a talented Platform Engineer to join their growing team. This role involves designing and maintaining cloud and platform infrastructure across Azure and AWS, with a focus on automation, reliability, and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Enhance CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment workflows
- Improve infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform
- Support and optimize cloud infrastructure, including monitoring, scaling, and security
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and implement platform improvements
- Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery for cloud-based systems
- Implement and maintain robust security controls and compliance measures
- Contribute to the development of best practices and documentation
Requirements
- Extensive experience in cloud platform engineering, preferably with Azure and AWS
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
