Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and configure IP CCTV systems, access control panels, and wireless alarm devices at commercial and residential sites.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and reactive fault-finding to minimise system downtime.
- Conduct site surveys and collaborate with project managers to plan equipment placement and cabling routes.
- Ensure all installations comply with relevant health and safety regulations and industry codes of practice.
- Provide basic user training to clients and hand over completed system documentation.
- Complete accurate service reports, timesheets, and stock control records using company-provided mobile tools.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to the employer’s quality assurance procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience in installing and servicing IP-based CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
- Solid understanding of networking principles, including IP addressing, PoE, and basic router/switch configuration.
- Familiarity with leading security equipment brands such as Hikvision, Dahua, Paxton, or Texecom.
- Full UK driving licence is essential due to the mobile nature of the role.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., ECS/CSCS card, IPAF) are highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously while maintaining excellent customer communication.
