About the Role
This Sales Engineering Manager position at Rubrik focuses on leading a team of Cloud Specialist Sales Engineers across the Americas region, providing technical direction and business guidance to the regional sales team. The role emphasizes accountability for regional revenue goals, recruiting top talent, and enabling sales engineers to excel in the industry through innovative technical programs and day-to-day account activities. Candidates in this position will evangelize and architect Rubrik’s hyper-converged hybrid cloud data management platform, helping both existing customers and new prospects achieve resilience against cyberattacks and operational disruptions in cloud environments like AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of sales engineers throughout the Americas, overseeing their performance and alignment with company objectives in cloud product lines.
- Handle recruiting, hiring, and professional development for top sales engineering talent as the organization expands its cloud infrastructure coverage.
- Provide technical leadership and strategic direction to sales teams, assisting in building comprehensive technology solutions for customers and prospects.
- Contribute to the analysis, design, and development of integrated solutions involving Rubrik’s products, distributed architectures, and cloud storage offerings.
- Demonstrate deep expertise in Rubrik’s cloud and NAS products, file systems, and competitive landscapes during technical presentations to customer technical staff and executives.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients, addressing complex issues in cloud data management, backup, recovery, and analytics.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with account teams, partners, and customers to support sales goals, while leveraging corporate resources effectively.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in sales engineering management, ideally within cloud infrastructure settings involving AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- A driven and energetic mindset with a hands-on, proactive approach to achieving success in fast-paced tech environments.
- Strong foundational knowledge in cloud data management, backup and disaster recovery solutions, and data analytics technologies.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, characterized by a strong work ethic, resourcefulness, and a commitment to going the extra mile.
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations, managing multiple client calls, demos, and follow-ups daily.
- High level of business acumen, with proven experience engaging C-level executives to deliver technology solutions for business challenges.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant technical field.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive base salary ranging from $135,600 to $216,600 USD, determined by factors such as location, skills, experience, and education.
