About the Role
This role involves managing the compliance framework for an aerospace and defense company, ensuring adherence to regulatory, contractual, and export control requirements. The Compliance Manager will be responsible for interpreting and communicating compliance obligations, leading export control activities, and maintaining industry-specific certifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and communicate compliance obligations to internal stakeholders
- Lead export control activities, including license applications and audits
- Maintain the organization’s AS9100 certification and other relevant standards
- Develop and implement compliance policies, procedures, and training programs
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless compliance
- Stay up-to-date with evolving regulatory requirements and industry best practices
Requirements
- Degree in a relevant field, such as business, law, or engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a compliance or regulatory role, preferably in the aerospace or defense sectors
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, including export control regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Proficient in interpreting and applying complex regulatory requirements
- Proven track record in developing and implementing compliance programs
