About the Role
EA-RS Group Limited, a leading provider of fire detection, security, and life safety systems, is seeking an experienced Installation Engineer to join their team in Birmingham, England. This role involves installing, testing, and commissioning these critical systems in social housing and other buildings, ensuring compliance with UK standards and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical drawings to understand system requirements
- Install cabling and containment systems for fire detection, security, and life safety equipment
- Complete the installation, testing, and commissioning of fire detection, security, and life safety systems
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant UK standards and client specifications
- Provide on-site support and troubleshooting for system issues
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all installation activities
- Collaborate with the project management team to ensure timely and successful project delivery
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Installation Engineer or in a similar technical role
- Strong understanding of fire detection, security, and life safety systems and their installation requirements
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools required for installation work
- Certification in relevant industry standards or qualifications (e.g., CSCS, IOSH, IPAF) is preferred
