About the Role
Barchester Healthcare, a leading provider of healthcare services in the UK, is seeking an experienced IT Operations Technician to join their nationwide team. This role involves maintaining and supporting the company’s robust IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and end-user devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and configure IT equipment, such as servers, routers, and workstations, to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Monitor system performance and implement necessary measures to maintain security compliance and data integrity.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to care home staff, hospital personnel, and other end-users across the Barchester Healthcare network.
- Collaborate with the IT team to identify and resolve technical issues, implementing appropriate solutions in a timely manner.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all IT-related activities and procedures, ensuring knowledge transfer and continuity.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry best practices to optimize the company’s IT infrastructure.
- Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures to enhance the overall efficiency and security of the organization.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an IT Operations Technician or a similar role, preferably in the healthcare or service industry.
- Proficient in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of servers, networks, and end-user devices.
- Strong understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, and network protocols and technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with end-users and IT professionals.
