Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and commission IP CCTV systems, electronic access control, and wireless alarm systems at commercial and residential premises.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance, fault diagnosis, and reactive repairs on a wide range of security equipment.
  • Conduct site surveys and provide technical advice to clients, tailoring solutions to their specific security needs.
  • Ensure all installations meet applicable health and safety regulations and industry codes of practice.
  • Complete accurate service reports, handover documentation, and job records using the company’s management systems.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience as a CCTV or security systems engineer, with solid knowledge of IP-based camera and recording technologies.
  • Working familiarity with access control platforms (e.g., Paxton, ACT) and wireless alarm systems (e.g., Texecom, Pyronix).
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals, including IP addressing, port forwarding, and remote configuration of security devices.
  • Full UK driving licence is essential due to the mobile nature of the role across Yorkshire and surrounding counties.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a wider engineering team.
