About the Role
This CX Technical Content Design Intern position at Dropbox offers undergraduate and graduate students a chance to contribute to the Knowledge, Experience, & Platforms (KXP) organization during a 12-week summer program in 2026. The role focuses on developing clear, scalable technical documentation that supports self-serve teams in adopting and expanding with Dropbox’s product suite, bridging product, support, and customer enablement efforts. Interns will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create content that empowers users across various technical use cases, from initial setups to ongoing support, while building professional networks in Dropbox’s Virtual First culture, including participation in the Emerging Talent Summit.
Key Responsibilities
- Articulate the technical aspects of Dropbox’s product suite to help customers maximize their experience through accessible documentation.
- Develop tailored technical user guides for departmental use cases, such as engineering and support, to facilitate product adoption, implementation, and growth for customers, Customer Success Managers, and support agents.
- Conduct interviews with stakeholders and subject matter experts during the content discovery phase to gather insights and ensure accuracy.
- Manage review cycles with stakeholders, including setting timelines, evaluating feedback, and incorporating updates to refine content quality.
- Participate in audits and research initiatives to identify ideal customer profiles and create impactful case studies.
- Collaborate virtually and in-person with Dropbox teams to foster a strong professional network and contribute to customer enablement projects.
- Support the creation of scalable content that addresses integrations, setups, long-term support, and expansion scenarios for diverse user levels.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, with graduation expected in or after December 2026, in fields such as Content Strategy, Content Design, Information Science, Journalism, English, Communications, Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Technical Writing, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrated ability to simplify complex topics in infrastructure, cloud, or security for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience in editorial writing, adhering to standards like the Chicago Manual of Style.
- Strong customer focus, emphasizing use cases and making technology accessible to broad audiences.
- Proactive mindset as a self-starter, eager to learn product intricacies, and committed to driving efficiency with a growth-oriented approach.
- Enthusiasm for Dropbox’s mission, products, and representing customer needs effectively.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive pay range of $4,000 to $4,500 CAD for the 12-week internship.
