Instacart, a leading tech company revolutionizing the grocery delivery industry, seeks a Senior Product Manager focused on Marketing Experiences and Growth. This role centers on developing tools and workflows that enable internal marketing teams and retailer partners to create, measure, and scale effective campaigns. The position involves collaborating across departments to leverage automation, AI, and data-driven insights, ultimately driving growth for Instacart’s marketplace and partners’ e-commerce platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the strategy and roadmap for marketer experiences that facilitate campaign creation, testing, measurement, and iteration across Instacart and partner channels.
  • Collaborate with marketing capability teams to align visions and support product initiatives where necessary.
  • Translate campaign objectives into practical workflows, templates, and experimentation frameworks in partnership with marketing, design, engineering, and data science teams.
  • Build automation and AI-assisted features to minimize operational efforts for marketers, enhancing consistency, repeatability, and speed in creative and audience testing.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for growth funnels and work with analytics teams to provide actionable insights on metrics like lift, conversion, customer acquisition cost (CAC), lifetime value (LTV), and retention.
  • Establish a high-velocity experimentation program, including A/B and multivariate tests, to enable quick validation of ideas and scaling of successful campaigns across app, web, email, push notifications, and retailer e-commerce surfaces.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams to deliver multi-surface initiatives that optimize consumer journeys and support lifecycle and retention programs.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of product management experience in building and shipping software products, with a focus on growth or marketing technology in e-commerce, marketplaces, or advertising platforms.
  • 3 or more years of hands-on experience in running A/B and multivariate experiments using experimentation platforms, including statistical analysis of results.
  • Proven success in developing internal or marketer-facing tools from inception to launch, followed by iterations based on user feedback and data.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams involving engineering, design, marketing, and data science to execute complex projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, statistics, or economics, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Fluency in growth funnel analytics, including acquisition, activation, retention, and monetization, with expertise in KPI frameworks and integrations with tools like CDPs, ESPs (e.g., Segment, Braze), and ad attribution platforms.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary ranging from $158,000 to $233,000 USD annually, depending on the candidate’s permanent work location within the United States (e.g., higher ranges in CA, NY, CT, NJ at $189,000–$233,000; lower in other states at $158,000–$194,000).
  • Eligibility for a new hire equity grant and annual refresh grants to align with company growth.
