About the Role
Searchability NS&D, a leading software engineering firm, is seeking a skilled Site Reliability / Software Engineer with an active security clearance. This critical role involves developing and maintaining secure, scalable software systems with a focus on reliability, automation, and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, including application development, CI/CD, monitoring, and live service support
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of mission-critical software systems in a regulated environment
- Automate and optimize operational processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve complex technical issues
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide 24/7 support for production systems
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement
- Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge to build a strong, capable team
Requirements
- Active security clearance (Secret or above)
- Extensive experience in software engineering, with a strong background in site reliability, DevOps, or SRE practices
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java
- Expertise in building and maintaining highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable distributed systems
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and automation tools (e.g., AWS, Azure, Terraform, Ansible)
