About the Role
Join Confluent, the pioneering data streaming platform, as a Senior Manager of Product-Led Growth (PLG) Strategy and Operations. In this senior individual contributor role, you’ll drive PLG initiatives across acquisition, activation, and high-value customer growth, serving as an internal strategist with direct executive exposure and cross-functional influence. Beyond analytics, you’ll define growth strategies, structure complex problems, align teams, and deliver measurable outcomes in a high-growth SaaS environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own PLG strategy and planning, leading annual and quarterly priorities for acquisition, activation, monetization, and customer expansion in the data streaming ecosystem.
- Drive executive decision support by preparing reviews, synthesizing insights, and crafting rigorous slide materials to inform leadership and resource allocation.
- Partner with Product teams to shape roadmap prioritization based on growth data, customer behavior, and activation insights for optimal SaaS product development.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to refine go-to-market strategies, campaign focuses, and execution plans that amplify PLG objectives.
- Lead funnel performance diagnostics, using hypothesis-driven approaches to identify root causes, size opportunities, and operationalize learnings across the customer journey.
- Orchestrate cross-functional execution by managing dependencies, timelines, and escalations across Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales teams.
- Establish measurement foundations, evolving metrics from volume to value-based outcomes while ensuring analytical rigor through SQL queries and data partnerships.
- Act as a thought partner to senior stakeholders, framing problems and directing solutions to align PLG with broader company goals in real-time data streaming.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience owning strategy, growth, or operations initiatives with accountability for business outcomes in high-growth SaaS or tech environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in structuring ambiguous problems and driving progress in complex, cross-functional settings like product-led growth teams.
- Strong analytical skills, including hands-on data work with SQL for exploration, spreadsheet modeling, and experiment evaluation.
- Executive communication prowess, with the ability to create clear, detail-oriented slide decks and narratives for senior audiences.
- Comfort influencing without authority, operating autonomously, and delivering rigorous analyses—either directly or via data science collaborations.
- Background in consulting, strategy, or similar roles, with a passion for end-to-end ownership of complex business challenges in data-driven industries.
- Fluency in analytical tools and a track record of translating insights into actionable, growth-oriented decisions.
