About the Role
Spectrum IT Recruitment is seeking a talented Senior AWS Engineer to join their team in London, England. This role involves building, supporting, and optimizing secure and scalable AWS cloud platforms for a major government program.
Key Responsibilities
- Work extensively with Kubernetes, Terraform, and Linux systems to ensure high availability and operational excellence
- Play a key role in onboarding public sector clients and managing their cloud infrastructure
- Implement best practices for security, compliance, and cost optimization in the AWS environment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy robust, fault-tolerant cloud architectures
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes using code-based tools
- Continuously monitor and optimize the performance and reliability of cloud-based applications
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
Requirements
- Extensive experience (5+ years) in designing and managing large-scale AWS cloud environments
- Proficiency in Kubernetes, Terraform, and other infrastructure-as-code tools
- Strong understanding of cloud security best practices, including IAM, VPC, and data encryption
- Hands-on experience with Linux system administration and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
