The Art of the SquishCrew Among Us
The art world has been buzzing about the upcoming opening of an exclusive new exhibit, The SquishCrew Among Us , which promises to revolutionize the way viewers view the world around them. Though little has been revealed about the artist behind the exhibit, there are high expectations from patrons, critics, and art enthusiasts alike that this will be one of the most important exhibits of the year. This essay will explore what we can expect from this daring new movement in art and how it may change our lives in ways we never imagined.
What this series is about
The idea behind these pieces is to have a new kind of representation for young black men in popular media. More specifically, my squishcrew among us art aims to capture young black boys and men in a wholesome manner. They are not displayed as sports figures, rappers, models or actors but rather as young children playing and existing as normal boys do. It’s important that we see them being creative and playful because it’s an image that isn’t often seen by mainstream audiences.
In addition, I aim to display them in their natural state without any alterations such as hair styling or clothing that may be deemed glamorous. These images will depict what young black males look like when they are free from society’s standards of beauty and allowed to exist naturally.
Purpose behind it
We createsquishcrew among us art work that serves as a visual representation for our innermost emotions and ideas. We feel as though if you squishcrew among us art you will be able to tap into your own creativity and produce something amazing. Our belief is that if you squish your heart, mind, and soul into your art it will have an effect on others by giving them a clearer view into what you are thinking or feeling. It’s a way to express yourself without saying anything at all.
Goals set out to achieve it
There is no better time to start living an active lifestyle than now. If you’re looking for motivation, join a local sports team, such as basketball or softball, in your community. However, if you want to get fit on your own terms and at your own pace, there are plenty of apps available for smartphones that will help keep you motivated. For example, Map My Run allows users to track their distance and time while running or jogging. It also provides voice feedback during workouts so you can listen to music without having to hold your phone.
The app also syncs with Facebook so friends can cheer each other on. Another great option is Fitocracy, which gamifies fitness by awarding points and badges for exercise achievements (like getting 100 sit-ups in one day). Users can even earn levels based on how many points they have earned throughout their journey.
Theme behind each individual creature
The main goal for each creature was to create something that looked big and friendly, but also had a hint of irony and humor. Each monster needed to have either teeth or claws, though most have both, as well as a bright color scheme. The theme behind each individual creature is that they seem friendly at first but when attacked they are very dangerous. They won’t kill you but definitely hurt you -Max, one of my fellow artists.
Key techniques used in creating them
I use a variety of techniques. In a lot of my work I tend to focus on color, pattern and texture. For example, in my piece called I <3 squishcrew I focused on those three things along with my photography skills as well. The photo that makes up most of it is very bright, colorful and creative because it has lots of eye catching graphics in it as well as an appealing background.
As for pattern, there are many patterns throughout my piece but they aren’t very noticeable at first glance. It’s not until you look closely do you realize how many different patterns there are within just one picture. Texture was used mostly through out all of my pieces. Many people don’t notice it but if you look closely you can see how much detail there is in each individual pixel within each picture.
