Satisfying the Afternoon Munchies.

It’s that time. Somewhere around 3 pm, give or take, when your energy flags, but you can see there are a lot of days left and a lot of things still left to do. Meatballs make the perfect snack. It’s snack time, so pull out a box of the best brand of frozen meatballs and give yourself a boost of protein to keep you going to the finish line.

In order to use your meatballs for snacking and avoid prep time, we recommend you bake a bag of meatballs at the beginning of the week and then store them in the fridge. Then you can whip out a handful of these tasty bites the next time the urge to snack hits.

Here are a few ideas to get you started:

 

Blue Cheese Buffalo Balls

Starting with cooked meatballs, make these blue cheese meatballs quick to prepare.

 

Ingredients

Cooked Meatballs

Prepared buffalo wing sauce

Chunky blue cheese dressing

Instructions

  • Cover meatballs with buffalo sauce in a small saucepan and heat through.
  • Enjoy your spicy meatballs dipped in cool blue cheese dressing.

Meatball Burritos

One of these protein-rich burritos will easily fuel the rest of your day.

 

Ingredients

Cooked Farm Rich Homestyle Meatballs

Cooked leftover rice (brown or white) if you have some

Whole wheat tortilla, warmed

Shredded Cheddar cheese

Salsa

Guacamole

Low-fat Greek yogurt

Instruction

  • Reheat Farm Rich Meatballs according to package directions.
  • Spoon rice into your tortillas. Top with cheese, salsa, guacamole, and yogurt. Add warm meatballs.
  • Fold up tightly. You can eat it as is or heat a large skillet over medium heat and cook the burrito for 5 to 6 minutes until golden brown and toasted.

Ingredients

1 package of ramen noodles

2 boiled eggs

2 radishes, thinly sliced

1/2 jalapeño pepper, thinly sliced

A pinch of chopped cilantro

Lime juice, to taste

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Reheat the meatballs in the microwave.
  • Cook the ramen per package instructions.
  • Top the finished ramen with meatballs, halved boiled eggs, veggies, and cilantro. Spritz with lime juice, and season with salt and pepper.
