Why You Need To Take A Tropical Island Holiday For Your Health!
In today’s high-pressure world, our personal well-being often takes a backseat to our busy schedules. We do what we think we need to do instead of what’s best for us. This has created many of modern humanity’s ills. Stress, anxiety, and depression caused by running the rat race make us physically ill if we don’t do something to stave off their deleterious effects on us. There comes a point where taking a break from it all isn’t really a luxury, it’s a survival requirement! Even just a week or two holidays someplace far away and pleasant provides us with an escape from our troubles that can help us get through the rest of the year without experiencing an inevitable health breakdown. In other words, taking it easy for a while can save your life!
So, if you have decided to follow my advice and take a two-week holiday, congratulations! The next thing to do is choose a destination. There are so many wonderfully relaxing places to visit around the world, but I will share my personal choice with you- the Maldives Islands, a luxurious tropical paradise in the Indian Ocean. The combination of sun, sand, and a crystal blue sea act as a highly effective natural antidepressant. Check into one of the delightful Maldives overwater villas where you can hear the waves lapping beneath you as you sleep and can greet the morning looking out at the serene sea whilst lounging in bed! The friendly staff will pamper you and help you forget your troubles, giving you the chance to recuperate and heal.
There are many wonderful ways to pass your time during your island holiday, and they all have beneficial effects. After a healthy breakfast of fish and fresh fruits check into the spa for some serious relaxation techniques. Begin with a round of soothing Ayurvedic therapies including the ancient art of massage to loosen up your aching, stress-tightened muscles. Then join the resident yoga instructor on the soft white sands and learn to practice this ancient form of mind and body healing exercise. Have you seen the travel brochures of happy, healthy people performing yoga headstands on tropical beaches? Now it’s your turn, it’s not as hard as it looks, and feels great, too!
I will now leave you with my personal rules for a healing getaway:
1. No contact with the outside world! No cell phone, no laptop, no devices whatsoever. The people back home will have the resort’s contact info in case of real emergencies, anything short of imminent peril can darn well wait until you get home. Do NOT give this out to the office, clients, or anyone else who might break the spell you are focused on maintaining.
2. No work whilst you are there, not even a little. You came to relax, not finish up that proposal! Leave it at the office, I mean it!3. Enjoy just being you! Let the Maldives do their magic!
