Seven Different Kinds of Intercom Systems You Can Ponder On

Video intercom systems are installed for many intended purposes, but in this case, they are mostly installed for the front doors. Its objective is to add security to the first layer of a secure system. Not only does it level up your state of security, but it also makes unlocking and locking your door more convenient as it provides numerous features that make it convenient, such as being accessed through wired and wireless. Video intercom systems come in many forms or types. As expected, each video intercom system is bought from different brands. It offers multiple various features which provide you with numerous devices to choose from. Residential Doorbell Intercom:

The residential doorbell intercom is compatible with being installed in single-family homes and apartments. It includes a doorbell and has features such as an outdoor camera where you can monitor through the indoor monitor it has. 

Commercial Video Intercom:

It is designed or compatible to be installed in commercial buildings. It consists of an entry panel and has two stations, an indoor and master station, requests to exit (REX), and also has a door release button that you can access remotely or wirelessly, making it convenient for the owner.

IP Video Intercom:

From its name, the IP video intercom highlights the IP. It uses IP networking as a way for visitors and residents to communicate with each other. Speaking of communication, it occurs through the feature it has, which is two-way audio and video. Just like the previous intercom system, it also has a door release. 

Smartphone Video Intercom:

From the term smartphone, this intercom system can be accessed or connected through your smartphone, which can be accessed remotely. You only have to download a mobile app intended for the system in order to access it. As mobile phones are IP-based, it wouldn’t be surprising for this video intercom also to be an IP-based device. And as expected, its features can be accessed or managed through your phone. 

Room-to-Room Video Intercom:

A room-to-room video intercom is compatible with and installed for multi-unit apartment and office buildings. It is expected to have the ability for visitors to communicate with a specific resident within the same commercial building without needing to go inside the building and go upstairs in order for you to identify themselves if the resident is inside their home. It has an entry panel and door release button, which is excellent for the residents in order for their permitted guests to enter the residential building.

Multi-tenant Video Intercom:

This can be installed for apartment buildings and multi-tenant buildings as it has features such as door release, a great part for the visitor to enter the building which is permitted to. This can also be used as a room-to-room intercom system. It has features that guarantee the history of visitors who have gone inside or outside the building accessing the system through the feature video recording and mobile calling.
