Huawei Watch GT 2 46mm review: Should I buy it?

Design of the Huawei Watch GT 2 46mm watch:-

This smartwatch is very good-looking. The 46mm version is very nice looking hardware of the 2 size options, yes there are 2 size options and both are somewhat different.

The large 46mm model features a 1.39-inch OLED with 454 x 454 resolution and a 22mm strap. And the other smaller ones, the Huawei Watch GT 2 42mm, scales things back with a 1.2-inch OLED with 390 x 390 resolution and a 20mm strap.

Physical features of the Huawei watch gt2 46mm are few, there is not a dial or crown, but there are 2 buttons on the right side of the watch. One is for health tracking and launching workouts and the other one is the home button and also this will bring the built-in app selectors.

The GT 2’s display is very sharp, at 326ppi. When you wear it, then you don’t feel overly bulky on your wrist. It fits very comfortably under shirt sleeves. If you are used to having a normal size of men’s watch then you will feel comfortable wearing this GT 2 watch. And if you have slimmer wrists then you should go for the smaller model.

The Huawei GT 2 watch provides a 2 week Battery life, if you leave some of the more advanced features off and if you are not using too much GPS exercise tracking. For instance, just enabling the always-on display (AOD) will save your battery life.

The Huawei gt 2 watch has a speaker and it is very loud, it is primarily used for attending calls on your mobile, through the watch, and also for listening to music. This is not a high-level smartphone quality but considering this on a watch it is very impressive. Taking calls on a watch is very convenient and a pleasant experience. 

The watch does not come with an LTE variant, ao your phone will be the source of cellular connectivity for calls, it has a local storage that allows you to preload your favorite tunes and you can go for a run and don’t need to carry your smartphone with you. Also, you can use the watch to control your phone’s music playback.

Verdict:-

The Huawei Watch GT 2 46mm is a very well-designed superb smartwatch, and the hardware is really amazing both internally and externally. Though the software is slightly poor and it should be improved, it is a much better software experience than the original Watch GT. What’s more, considering its RM 399.00 price on huawei 12.12 promotion, it’s definitely worth buying.
