That beats out both the average (83 MBps) and the E 15 (56 MBps) but falls just shy of both the VivoBook S15 (124 MBps) and ThinkPad T470 (120 MBps).

The Swift SF-314’s solid magnesium-aluminium body feels strong and premium, like most ultrabooks in this price range. The lid has a smooth matte finish that resists fingerprints, while the inside is a brushed aluminium deck with an etched Acer logo in the centre. There’s no flexing or creaking when you grasp the notebook tightly in one hand or open and close the lid with the other.
Ports are another area where Acer Swift 3 sf315-41 had to sacrifice to keep the Swift SF-314 slim and light. There’s just a single USB 3.0 port on the left side, a full-size HDMI output and a headphone jack. On the right side are two more USB 3.0 ports (one doubles as a charging port), plus an SD card reader. That’s it—there’s no Thunderbolt 3 support or Ethernet jack, so you’ll have to use an adapter or external dock if you need those features.
Acer chose a 256GB solid-state drive (SSD) for storage and memory, which is a decent amount of space for an ultrabook. You don’t get much room to expand, so you might consider upgrading to the 512GB version when you order; otherwise, you won’t have much room left over after installing Windows 10 Home and the bloatware that comes with it.

The Swift SF-314 uses two SODIMM slots under the bottom panel, so if you need more than 4GB of memory later on down the road, it’s as easy as popping in an extra stick.
