How to Deactivate Instagram Account Temporarily or Delete Permanently – iPhone and Android

You don’t need to worry if you are using an Android or iPhone and want to deactivate your Instagram account temporarily or want to delete the account permanently. in this article, we will learn how to do this. The process is the same for Android and iOS devices, so let’s start the process for Android as well as iOS devices.

First of all, make sure that you are connected to the Internet and once you are connected to the Internet simply go and open your Instagram app. When you open your Instagram account simply follow the steps below.

  • Tap on your profile Icon at the right bottom corner.
  • Once your profile opens, you will see these three lines at the right top corner tap on these three lines. A new popup will be open as shown in the screenshot.
  • Now tap on settings, and you will see another menu as shown in the below screenshot.
  • Here you need to tap on the help option because there is no direct delete option on Instagram.

  • Here in the help menu click on Help Center, the help center will be open as shown in the figure below.
  • You can see the search bar in the help center, in the search bar type delete, you will see delete account in the suggestion. From here you can delete the account.
  • There are 2nd methods from the help center to delete the account. You can see three lines in the upper right corner with the search icon. Click on these three lines, you will see the following menu as shown in the figure.
  • Now in the above show menu tap on manage your account, you will see the menu below as shown in the figure below.
  • Here tap on delete your account, you will see the next menu as shown in the figure below.
  • Here you can see both options for deleting your account or temporarily disabling your account, so if you can go through your choice.
