5 Things you should do to keep your eyes healthy

According to Wikipedia News, the Eyes are organs of the visual system. They provide animals with vision, the ability to receive and process visual detail, as well as enabling several photo response functions that are independent of vision. Eyes detect light and convert it into electro-chemical impulses in neurons.

They are one of the basic sense organs in the body and has possessed some greater functions in the body which also aid in healthy living.

Due to their importance in the life span and human race, we are bound to take good care of the eyes and this has to deal with some knowledge.

Things you should do to keep healthy eyes

Get yourself enough sleep

Deprivation of sleep is extremely dangerous because it can cause an eye problem known famously as glaucoma.

Glaucoma is an eye problem that causes total blindness. This happens when the nerves connecting the eyes to the brain is damaged due to high eye pressure.

Sleep at least 8hrs every day and abstain from depriving yourself of kip.

Avoid reading in dim light

Reading by light requires average clear lights rays which should deploy the eyes with comfort via its function. In a situation whereby the light rays are not enough the eyes get tired and this would result in red eyes and a severe headache.

However, this medium won’t lead to blindness but would provide severe headache and red eyes. Avoid reading in dim light and keep your eyes healthy.

Avoid gazing at the dazzling lights

It could be your smartphone brightness, your electric bulb rays and the sun. The dazzling light rays from these mediums can easily damage the eyes but most of the victim is deprived of the knowledge via its danger.

When the Retina’s sense of light cells become over-stimulated, it would release multiple chemicals which will damage the black part of the eyes. This can also cause blindness.

Abstain from gazing at dazzling lights and keep the eyes healthy.

Avoid Smoking

Smoking is the most dangerous act 90% of the world citizens enrol in daily which damages the eyes. We are denied the knowledge and this has derived many people to the uncomfort zone.

Researchers have claimed that smoking will destroy the eyes by deploying macular degeneration, cataracts, glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy and Dry Eye Syndrome to the eye cells. This can also cause blindness. Abstain from smoking and keep healthy eyes.

Avoid rubbing your eyes

Research has also claimed that rubbing the eyes can cause eye damages which may lead to blindness.

This happens when the Cornea gets thin and weakened. This will force it to become more conical and that will result in serious eye damage like complication with sight and vision. Avoid rubbing the eyes and keep healthy eyes.

Having known these secrets, it’s favourable to abide by them so as to enjoy the gift of vision.
